Smart locks for Airbnb and holiday homes in Dubai
SIRA-approved keyless entry for every holiday home we manage

Every holiday home we manage in Dubai gets a government-regulated, SIRA-approved smart lock from a supplier nominated under the DET framework, with access managed through Keyless. Each booking gets its own code, and our team looks after the lock for as long as we manage your property.

Why keys don't work for Dubai holiday homes
Guests often land at DXB in the middle of the night, when nobody is waiting with the keys. Physical keys can be lost or copied, and a lockbox code works for anyone who has ever had it. With new guests every few days, these risks add up quickly.
Why smart locks work for short-term rentals
Full control from anywhere.
Grant or change access remotely for guests, cleaners and contractors, whether you live in Dubai or abroad.
Every booking gets its own code.
Codes activate at check-in and expire at checkout, so no two guests share access.
Check-in at any hour.
Late flights and early arrivals need no coordination from you.
See who has access and when.
Every entry is logged, so you know exactly who was in your property.

Smart locks and building access in Dubai
Most holiday homes in Dubai are apartments in managed towers, where guests may also need an access card for the lobby, lift or car park. Many buildings also ask for visitor details in advance. We plan the full arrival route with your building management and register every guest with DET, as holiday home rules require.

SIRA-approved and connected to Keyless
We use government-regulated, SIRA-approved smart locks from a supplier nominated under Dubai's DET framework. Guest access is managed through Keyless, in line with the requirements for Dubai holiday homes. You don't need to source hardware or check approvals yourself.
How Staymo smart lock installation works

- 01
Assessment
We check the door and the building rules, and plan the guest's route from the lobby to your front door.
- 02
Installation
We fit a SIRA-approved lock from our nominated supplier, without damage to the door.
- 03
Guest access setup
We set up access through Keyless and link it to your booking calendar, so each booking gets its own code. Cleaners and contractors get timed codes of their own.
- 04
Ongoing management
We monitor access, issue temporary codes and replace batteries. If a code ever fails, the guest calls our team.

Why a holiday home manager handles your lock
We run short-term rentals every day, so the lock is managed along with the rest of your property. Each booking gets a new code, cleaners get access on the right day, batteries are changed in time, and our team answers if a code fails at 11pm.
Frequently asked questions
Are smart locks safe for holiday homes?
Yes. Each stay gets its own credentials, and access can be tracked and changed at any time.
Which smart locks do you use?
Government-regulated, SIRA-approved locks from a supplier nominated under Dubai's DET framework, with access managed through Keyless. Every property we manage gets one, and you don't need to arrange anything yourself.
Will a smart lock work in my building?
In most Dubai buildings, yes. We check the building's rules on door hardware first and plan around access cards and concierge procedures before we fit anything.
What happens if guests arrive late?
They use their code at any hour, so a delayed flight needs no coordination from you.
Can cleaners receive access?
Yes. Cleaners and contractors get temporary codes timed to their visit, which expire afterwards.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Most smart locks keep working locally, so guests can still use their code. A new or changed code may not reach the lock until the connection returns, which is why we sync each code before arrival.
Do guests need an app?
Usually not. Guests enter their code on the keypad.
Can you fit a smart lock if Staymo doesn't manage my property?
